Bab 131: Snakes?

Avelina was starting to get heavily confused and apprehensive. 

What exactly was going on? Not only can she not understand, but she is baffled as well by Draven's behavior. What was he talking about earlier? Why was he apologizing to her with such a guilty look on his face?

She took deep breaths and asked, "Camilla, since being sick for two days now, have I ever come out of the room?"

"No, my lady," Camilla responded, shaking her head. "Nobody has seen you, not even the old master."

"Oh…" Avelin slightly nodded her head. Now, she was more than sure that something must have happened—something Draven was trying to talk to her about in there.

She exhaled softly and smiled at Camilla. "Thank you, but I am fine now."

"That's good to hear, my lady." Camilla beamed charmingly.

Olive zipped up his coat. He wore his gloves and grabbed his umbrella before leaving.

Valentine, who was watching him, furrowed his brows.
