Arabella took a deep breath, allowing the cold air to fill her lungs before heaving a sigh of exhaustion. "I wish it didn't have to come to this. I really thought we could solve things without fighting, but you leave me no choice."

"It's alright, Bella. I would never hurt you. I'll only keep you here forever as my best friend," the Pippin replied.

Arabella smirked peevishly and snapped her fingers to summon a black card with an unlit pentagram painted on its face. "You really overestimate yourself, kid."

Hearing the note of condescension in Arabella's voice unsettled the Pippin. It looked surprised and dumbfounded by the sudden change in her behavior. "Even you…are like those grownups. Always so arrogant and rude!"

Stamping its feet, the Pippin wrung its hands and shouted, "Stab her! Stab her! I don't care. I don't care anymore! She is a liar just like her friends!"
