Bab 249: Revel in corruption

As Mordred pointed his black finger at Xander, a portal opened under his feet. But this was different from the ones Xander was used to traversing. It was a ring of fire that swallowed him whole before disappearing from the room.

When Xander opened his eyes on the other side, he was still lying on the ground, but he no longer felt the pain in his stomach. The stab wound on his belly had disappeared, and there was no sign of any injury on any part of his body, except his blood-stained fingers.

As Xander clambered back to his feet, he felt his heart skip a beat. His eyes darkened for a moment, and everything around him was swallowed by a cloudy blackness. A sharp pain in his chest brought him to his knees, and he spat out a mouthful of black blood.

"What the hell..."
