Bab 182: A hut in the middle of nowhere

The last time Xander had stepped inside a mysterious dwelling in the middle of nowhere, he found himself inside a witch's home. His previous experience had made him wary of such places, so he kept his finger on the trigger as he prepared to enter the hut.

Xander was about to knock on the door when it mysteriously swung open. The inside of the hut was cozy and warm, which made it all the more inviting to a weary traveler lost in the snow. But Xander kept his wits about him as he crossed the threshold.

Once he had stepped inside, the door closed behind him, and a stout, old woman with a wrinkly white face welcomed him with a feeble smile. She was dressed like a humble country girl, with her stockings and breeches patched in several places and her apron stained a dirty brown.
