Bab 83: Across the raging sea

The lanky wooden raft tossed and turned like a sleepless child as the turbulent sea lashed against its delicate frame. Xander used the fallen branch that he had picked up as a makeshift oar, doing his best to navigate around the treacherous shallows and steer the raft through the sharp, pointy rocks sticking out of the seabed.

Below Xander, the tumultuous sea roared and rippled while above him, the sky flashed with streaks of forked lightning. The Water Nymphs kept screaming at him from a distance, disappearing amidst the foamy spray and reappearing at irregular intervals.

Unlike the Water Nymph, who had managed to make her way to the real world through the portal, the ones trapped within this dream had lost their sanity. The Dreamscape had twisted their thoughts and memories and transformed them into feral entities.
