Even if they all knew the existence of this thing, everyone couldn't get out.

There were several reasons. 

First, they couldn't reach it.

Secondly, even if they could reach it with the help of others, the chip was designed not to be taken out in their entire life. It could be said that when the organization designed and planted the chip, it was under the premise of never letting it out again in the entire life. 

And because they didn't want to take it out, there was no way they would care about how to take it out. There was no manual and everything was made to be as difficult as possible.

Thirdly, if they were not careful enough, they might cut through the wrong thing and kill themselves. Since they couldn't do it themselves, would they entrust their lives in the hands of others?

Impossible. 

From the very beginning, they were taught not to trust anyone.
