Alec didn’t want to waste any more time and quickly explained the two available upgrade options for the stone golem to Agnes. Though the paths had different costs, but Alec didn’t feel the need to burden her with those petty details as he could afford it and now they could enter the beast forest she could work back that amount for him with the same golems.

He simply believed she had the right to choose the path her golem would follow.

And Agnes chose for Alec to pick different paths for both golems, making him nod in approval, as that was exactly what he had in mind.

Because if it were him, he would want to have both the Stone Guard Golem and the Stone Gunner Golem too, because he believed that leaning too far in one direction would ruin any chance of creating synergy between offense and defense he wanted her to have.

From the names alone, Alec guessed that the Gunner Golem would focus on attack, while the Guard Golem would prioritize defense.
