The rogue vampire, who was trying to suck blood from Lilian again, stepped back when Elliana looked at him, and he gulped, looking at his rogue vampire friends who had the same expression on their faces.

Was she really just a witch? Why did she look more monstrous than the death itself to them?

"Why did you stop? Go ahead. Drink it. I want you guys to be as powerful as you could be," Elliana hissed, her voice like a death song to the rogue vampires, and the vampire that had stepped back, looked at the girl, unsure.

He didn't know if she was serious. He looked at the other rogue Vampires who nodded at him.

One reason only. They wanted to see what this girl they needed to capture could do. They wanted to see her working in action to analyze their next steps. Thus, they made their friend bait, and like a stupid vampire, that rogue vampire stepped forward.
