"It was bland," she said, looking straight into her husband's eyes, her husband who wasn't moving his gaze from her face as he looked at her with the same hope that was making her heart soft.

And if she had been like that earlier, she would've probably gone soft already, but not anymore. She didn't want to go soft on him, not after he made her cry so much.

Elliana turned around and held the mic close to her mouth.

"It was quite bland for a crowning ceremony, no? I mean, where is the noise, where is the beauty of the fireworks?" Elliana grinned.

She turned around to face Sebastian, stepping forward until her face was almost an inch away from his as he stood still in his place, looking at her and doing nothing.
