Despite having nothing to do with the kitchen anymore since Fadila had taken control, He still remained; it was the way he was trained. It was a law to remain in the kitchen so as to accompany whoever was there.

Normally he would find it strenuous, like his cousins and older brother, but he couldn't lie to himself. A lot of interesting gist always came out of it, especially if the other party was comfortable enough. Just as expected, Fadila immediately opened up as she began talking about all that happened at work.

 Of course, he didn't do this only for the gist or gossip that would come from it but also to accompany Fadila since he knew that if he left, it would make it look as though he had abandoned her there, and for some reason, which didn't bode well with him.
