"Did you use the same spell to neutralize Sir Coleman?" reverberated Lord Raven's voice across the room. Bizarrely, his voice sounded as if he was all over the place.

"O' Elder Gnomes who are masters of the trapping craft…" Ruffinia started to chant once again, ignoring what she presumed to be a stalling tactic, or an attempt to parley. "… lend me your aid… Earth Magic: Less–"

Ruffinia felt an invisible surge was headed towards her, prompting her to react by reflex. Swaying to her right, she rolled on her back, just in time to dodge a thrust from a shortsword. And as she saw the faint glint of the blade, she decided to change tactics and focus on melee combat. Her prey now revealed himself to her, yet instead of seeing the Interim Duke, what greeted her was a knight in black armor, made of the same Niggerium steel she had been detesting some weeks prior. Before she knew it, she the hunter now became the hunted.
