Heyyyyyyy...
It's your lazy author here!
sooooo I kinda forgot what I called the original venue for Ultra, and I'm too lazy to look it up.
I know, I know, it's my story (sorta), but searching through 150 chapters for one specific paragraph where it's mentioned when I'm not even gonna mention the name again after maybe 2 more chapters, isn't really my thing.
So imma just hope whatever chatgpt translates the name as is correct. It might even be more accurate than before, so who knows.
This comment is mostly for that one guy who'll get annoyed, scroll back 30 chapters to find the one chapter that it's mentioned, and comment about how inconsistent the writing is.
...It's not a plot hole if it's intentional.
tee hee~

Date: January 9th, 06:30 AM. The sun had just begun its ascent, casting a soft glow across the sky.
Despite its appearance as an ordinary morning, the scene at Beijing's Fifth Ring Aeronautical Base was anything but ordinary at this early hour. The festive spirit had yet to rouse in most parts of the city, but at the aeronautical base, an extraordinary commotion was underway.
Situated in the southern expanse of Xiaodongliu Village, Changping District, Beijing, the Fifth Ring Aeronautical Base sprawled across an expansive 600 acres. True to its name, the base featured aviation facilities such as flight training amenities, hangars, training aprons, grassy landing fields, and more. With a generous expanse of airspace, it was designated as the training grounds for China's national helicopter team. Additionally, the Beijing Municipal Science and Technology Commission had bestowed upon it the title of a popular science education demonstration base. The base offered services ranging from aerial afforestation and patrols to photography and airborne advertising.
However, was this the full extent of the base's functions?
Certainly not...
Beyond its role in aviation, the aeronautical base frequently leased out its expansive space and excellent infrastructure to host large-scale events, including concerts, music festivals, and tours.
Presently, the base had assumed a role of paramount importance in the capital city of Beijing, and even throughout all of China.
The reason was simple, It was solely because of the massive, colorful "UltraChina" logo at the base's entrance, accompanied by numerous oversized photos and names of the world's top DJs.
[UltraChina - Next-Gen Ultra Electronic Music Festival, Beijing!]
This was the name of the impending grand event.
Dawn was just breaking, and the usually quiet and desolate entrance of the Fifth Ring Aerial Base was already bustling. Thousands of people had gathered, creating a lively atmosphere where the chatter of conversations often overshadowed the occasional thrum of the official aerial photography helicopter flying overhead.
"Wow, it's still so early, but there's already such a crowd... Watch out, don't push!"
"Sorry about that! I was in a rush to get to the stage. I've traveled all the way from the Netherlands. Are you folks from China?"
"Nah, not really, I'm from Japan. Look at the flag I'm holding."
"Gotcha. By the way, who are you most excited to see this time?"
"TMY! She might be new, but she's adorable. I'm a big fan."

As the multitude swelled, kindred spirits from various corners of the globe engaged in fascinating conversations.
Within the bustling throng, individuals who had never crossed paths before and hailed from different countries now found themselves chatting amiably and forging connections.
After all, those gathered shared a common goal and mutual interests. They had all come for Ultra.
And amidst the crowd, discussions about TMY were quite prevalent.
Hidden within the swarms of people, two relatively petite figures mingled amongst the crowd. They cautiously adjusted the brims of their caps and hats, almost as if trying to conceal their faces from view. With keen interest, they followed the crowd's flow towards the entrance.
One of the figures, donning a pink oversized mask, lowered their voice and said to the other,
"Look at this, Qiuying. How does it feel? Was I right? It's quite thrilling to enter with the audience, isn't it?"
"Yes... despite the crowd, the sensation is truly exhilarating."
"Are you still nervous?"
"A little, but experiencing it firsthand should help ease that. Thanks for being here, Miaoyi."
"Good then. This is our first time on the global stage; we can't let down the face of Chinese electronic music!"
Their whispered conversation remained unheard by others. These weren't ordinary individuals; they were An Qiuying and Tang Miaoyi, the DJ of the main stage at this edition of the electronic music festival and the renowned electronic music vocalist, respectively.
Today marked the opening day of Ultra. Although Miaoyi's performance wasn't scheduled for today, she felt it was important for Qiuying to experience the atmosphere. Getting a sense of the environment now would help ensure a good state for tomorrow's official performance.
After all, much like Miaoyi, Qiuying had never faced such a massive audience before. This was their first time stepping onto a global stage, where even real helicopters occasionally hovered overhead.
In a live setting like this, mistakes were the last thing anyone wanted. Thus, being in the right state of mind was crucial. Even though Qiuying hadn't expressed it explicitly, Miaoyi was well aware that she was undoubtedly quite nervous.
Needless to say, she was also nervous herself...
In contrast to their school debut, they could fully revel in this performance.
To ease both of their nerves, Miaoyi had gone to great lengths by waking up early, bringing Qiuying to experience the music festival's first day firsthand.
"Let's go in. We have access to a special entrance. I'll take you to the lounge for breakfast," Miaoyi suggested, looking at the lively crowd around her as she took a deep breath.
It was only a little after six or seven in the morning, still quite early. Of course, for Miaoyi, who was considered a VIP, the Ultra organizers had surely arranged everything properly, including providing meals in a dedicated lounge.
If it weren't for the fact that Miaoyi brought Qiuying along this time to experience the atmosphere, they wouldn't even need to move a muscle. A single call would have had a car dispatched to pick them up from the Aerial Base and deliver them to the backstage via a special route.
When Miaoyi proposed going to the lounge, Qiuying looked at the bustling crowd around them and hesitated, "Are you sure we can get through? There are so many people."
"Why wouldn't we be able to?" Miaoyi waved off her concerns and took out her phone. "Just wait. I'll call someone to come get us. I know quite a few people around here."
"Who's around?" Qiuying asked curiously.
She was sure that there would be people she knew present, but when Miaoyi referred to "people she knew," she genuinely couldn't think of anyone.
While Miaoyi had quite a reputation in the electronic music scene and was a young DJ with considerable fame, she really didn't know many people within the industry. Her social circle was quite limited.
She didn't even recognize the signed DJs from East Records. This had left many of the artists within East Records eager to meet TMY, the "Electronic Music Princess," but they had no way of connecting with her. Many of them felt frustrated.
In any case, it was unlikely to be people like Lin Roufang, Zhang Yuan, or Yang He, as they weren't part of the electronic music scene at all...
"The person I'm referring to is someone you know. He's the featured vocalist for my upcoming single, the main voice," Miaoyi smiled faintly, "It's just unexpected to see him here at East Records. He's taken on a subordinate role there."
Qiuying's curiosity grew stronger, "By the way, who's the singer you invited that day? And what do you mean by 'subordinate'?"
Qiuying recalled that a few days ago, Miaoyi had secretly headed to East Records headquarters to arrange something with a singer. Qiuying hadn't gone with her at the time, and after Miaoyi returned, she didn't provide any answers when asked.
"You'll find out once we meet him." Miaoyi didn't explain further, maintaining a mysterious smile. Unlocking her phone, she opened her contact list and dialled a number.
The call connected quickly.
"Hello? I'm at the Aerial Base entrance. Come out to pick us up."
There was a moment of silence on the other end of the line before a voice replied, "Hello? I have a name, you know. Can you please stop saying 'hello' like that?"
Miaoyi smirked, "Alright then. Express Delivery Guy "The Rex," come out quickly to pick us up! Weren't you planning to apologize and make amends? Well, here's your second mission!"
