While Mineah was sucking out too much of his energy, Nikolai wasn't truly bothered by it. Instead, what was torturing him at the moment was his ever-slipping control threatening to lose to his desire at any moment.

"Are you alright?" she asked as soon as she opened her eyes.

No! He was absolutely not alright! 

"You've drained me…" he hoarsely whispered "Let me recharge myself..." 

Yes, she just drained him of his control! He couldn't resist just drowning himself in her naked beauty and glory. At this rate, holding himself back from touching his daring wife would make him go crazy.

So instead, he went ahead and partook in what she could currently offer him.

He kissed her lips hungrily, momentarily quenching himself from his tormenting thirst. Her soft moans were like music to his ears, and he couldn't help but deliberately wrap his hands around her waist as he pulled her closer to him.
