WHAT A WEIRD FAMILY MEETING

Sitting in the living room with his entire family to discuss their father's current state was not how Jack planned for this August. It was weird and guilt was gnawing at his heart, for what? He couldn't tell.

He was now the head of the family, in replacement of his dead father as per the custom in his hometown. He and his siblings were still recovering from the sudden news, and now, they have to organize how his ceremony will be. When his Debbie died, he was able to wiggle his way from the process with the excuse that he was only a teenage boy. Now, he was a full-grown adult, he can't leave. Their mother, surprisedly was handling the death of her husband gracefully. She wasn't wallowing in tears and self-pity, which he thank his God for.

Silence enveloped the room, no one was willing to talk first and it was making Roberto shift on his seat, he was very uncomfortable with quietness.
