Bab 239: last night in the hotel
After being confronted by Kaneki's grandparents, Yuuka had a panic attack but, she was reassured by them after they told her that they knew she was trying to fix her relationship with Kaneki.
And after that they gave her the second half of the stone tablet "hint" which Kaneki and Yuuka came for.
And now they're heading back to the hotel.
Shiori: hey Grampa what time is it?
Haruto: close to 4:10.
Shiori: I see. Yuuka-chan you better look forward to dinner tonight!
Yuuka: I know, it's because Kaneki is in charge of the cooking.
Shiori: correct!
Yuuka: his food definitely is the best, even if he tries to make it taste bad it'll end up tasting really good, even he is confused with that.
Haruto: haha! He's just like his mother!
Yuuka: what?
Haruto: when Atsuo brought Tohru-chan to our family reunion when they weren't really dating yet one of our relatives insulted her which tried to get back by making her a pie that is so disgusting you might vomit blood.
Yuuka: wait did she do that on purpose?
Shiori: yup, and it looked so horrible, it was like a rotting corpse and you know what she did to that relative? She forced fed her that pie.
Yuuka: Huh?! Forced fed?! What did that relative say that made her do that?!
Shiori: well she told her "your horns looks ugly"
Yuuka: ... Seriously?
Haruto: yup, she likes her horns a lot and for someone to say that really pissed her off.
Shiori: yeah, Atsuo-chan started apologizing but that relative of ours actually liked the pie. And everyone in the family reunion was very surprised even Tohru herself.
Yuuka: Kaneki's mom sounds very scary.
Haruto: well she is a Demon after all.
Yuuka: yeah.
Haruto: alright, we're here already so let's wait for the next train and remember girls don't tell Kaneki about our chat.
Shiori: of course.
Yuuka: I won't.
Haruto: good.
They all waited for a train and after a train arrived boarded it and after the ride they walked back to the hotel.
Growl~!
Haruto: what was that?
Shiori: that wasn't me.
They both looked at Yuuka.
Yuuka made an embarrassed face and said.
Yuuka: I'm sorry, I'm just hungry.
Haruto: well, good thing it's almost dinner time so you'll eat very good tonight.
Yuuka: yeah hopefully.
They then got to the hotel.
Haruto: Yuuka-chan you can go to Kaneki now, he's at the kitchen.
Yuuka: okay, thanks for giving me this tablet.
Yuuka then started heading to the kitchen.
Haruto & Shiori: your welcome.
Yuuka's thoughts*
(Good, I can show Kaneki now but where's the kitchen?)
Yuuka was having trouble finding the kitchen but she was able to find it.
Yuuka: alright here it is the door to the kitchen, time to go in.
Yuuka then went inside the kitchen.
Yuuka: sorry for the instruction!
Chef: hey girl why are you in here? This place is for staff only.
Yuuka: I'm.. uhh finding my boyfriend Kaneki.
Chef: oh, Kaneki-sama He's over there.
Yuuka looked at the direction the chef is pointing at and saw Kaneki.
Yuuka: thanks.
Yuuka then headed to Kaneki.
Kaneki: alright everyone! Well done! I'm giving you all extra paychecks tomorrow!
All the chefs: Thank you Kaneki-sama!
Kaneki: alright, I'm out-
Yuuka: Kaneki!
Kaneki: oh hey Mirai-san.
Yuuka: look what I got!
Yuuka showed Kaneki the second half of the stone tablet.
And Kaneki got excited.
Kaneki: Well done! With this we can find the crown! I knew you could do it! Congrats!
Yuuka: hehe~ thanks!
Kaneki: now we have both half's and we can find Akuma castle, I'm so darn excited now!
Yuuka: same here!
Kaneki: lts go take a bath to celebrate!
Yuuka: let's go!
They then started walking to their room.
Chef 1: looks life Kaneki-sama got himself a girlfriend.
Chef 2: yeah, and they look very with each other.
All the other chefs were talking about those 2 because they talked in front of them.
40 minutes later*
Yuuka: haa~ that was a nice bath.
Kaneki: yeah, oh yeah, dinner will be ready in a few minutes.
Yuuka: in looking forward to it
Kaneki: same here. Well I'm going down stairs to help with the preparations for dinner.
Yuuka: I'll help out as well.
Kaneki: okay then. Thanks.
Yuuka: hehe.
They then helped with preparing the tables for dinner and after that they both had dinner with everyone in the dining hall and they did some other things and then went off to bed.
Kaneki: honestly today was more fun than I excited.
Yuuka: same here, but you know what's funny?
Kaneki: what?
Yuuka: we took a bath 3 times in one day, this place had the best Onsen I've ever been.
Kaneki: haha~ agreed. Though honestly I wished I could've at least hanged out with my grandparents. Oh well I can just visit them next time.
Yuuka: yeah, you weren't really able to talk to them as much.
Kaneki: yeah, at least I had some fun today. Well goodnight tomorrow our act of a fake couple ends.
Yuuka: ... Yeah, you're right. Goodnight.
Yuuka's thoughts*
(Yeah, it was fun, I hope we can have this much fun again in he future. Goodnight Kaneki)
Kaneki: yawn~ well time to sleep. Because tomorrow we're heading home.
Kaneki then shut his eyes and went to sleep.
Yuuka: yeah...
Shut her eyes as well and went to sleep.
And she fell into a dream.
