Bab 397: Preparation Phase

Zhou Chao had just entered Ling Chen's office when he heard a stern voice.

"Ling Chen, are you trying to scare me half to death?" Zhou Chao remarked, looking at Ling Chen, who was lying on the sofa.

Hearing Zhou Chao's voice, Ling Chen quickly sat up from the sofa.

"Boss, you're here. Have you had lunch?"

"I've already had lunch. It's because of your call last night that I hurriedly flew over from Peng City. I grabbed a quick meal by the roadside. Are you planning to take a nap?" Zhou Chao asked, eyeing the pillow on the sofa.

"Cough, I was just preparing to take a short nap. Boss, don't blame me. It was your instruction to call you immediately in case of any situation. I didn't expect the assistant to the CEO of Lei Du Group to call me in the middle of the night," Ling Chen replied, trying to sound pitiful.
