Bab 34: Chapter 14: A Helping Hand from a Mortal

As the giants stumbled and flailed in the haze of Yana's illusion, a figure emerged from the shadows—a mortal woman named Elara. She had witnessed the battle unfold and had been captivated by Yana's display of magic and courage.

Elara, a skilled archer, knew she couldn't face the giants head-on, but she saw an opportunity to aid the mysterious Baba Yaga. With her bow and arrows in hand, she swiftly climbed a nearby hill, positioning herself for a clear shot.

Yana, sensing Elara's presence, turned towards her and smiled beneath her cloak. The Baba Yaga knew the value of allies, mortal or not. She gestured to Elara, indicating that she should take aim.

Elara drew her bowstring taut, her eyes fixed on the giants struggling in the illusion. She released her arrow, and it soared through the air with deadly precision, striking one of the giants in the vulnerable spot between its shoulder blades.
