Lawrence allowed the girl to beat him for fifteen minutes before he suddenly sat up and grasped her fists. He turned so quickly that she did not even have time to react when Progenitor Rose was pinned under him.

The young man smiled cockily without caring about the cuts on his face. He asked, "Does it remind you of those old days? You would seek to dry my blood, but I would make you wet in the end?"

Rose snapped back at him, "Shut up! You sleazy swine!"

Lawrence chuckled and said, "I remember not being the only sleazy person in those encounters. Without fire, there are no fumes, Rosie."

Rose glared at him hard and said, "How many times do I have to tell you not to call me that name?"

Lawrence smiled and gazed into her eyes. The lady was shocked by the sudden change in his eyes. This was the first time she had seen Lawrence look at her so tenderly.
