Bab 166: The New Ruler

The crowd still stared at them with an agitated look. Most of them did not care what the nobles had done, they were only enjoying abusing them. Because they hardly get a chance to hurt a noble.

Most of the time, it was nobles that crushed commoners beneath them. So, they did not want to let go of this rare opportunity.

  But the man with a scrawny face who had mocked the countess first nodded.

"Yes, it is better that you have accepted your mistake. But it would be best if you do not repeat it. I will ask the duchess to not mind it much. You can leave." he dismissively waved his hands.

He would not have been able to insult them if she had her knights with her. She was going to make sure that the man would regret it.

June held Cassey by her hands, afraid that the woman would pick up a fight again.

"My lady, we need to leave," she whispered in a desperate voice when Cassey closed her eyes and gulped all the anger settling on her chest.
