Bab 104: What She Wanted

"I.." He opened his mouth but many noble ladies had already come forward. They wanted to touch and see the cloth.

If he would insult it now, they would only think he had poor taste. He would be mocked instead of them.

"It is fancy, my lady," He spoke through a dry mouth as she excused himself. He would rather look around and find mistakes in other goods.

He could not believe that everything displayed here would be of the same quality. After all, the exhibition was organized in haste.

But the more he looked, he felt astonished as he had never seen such rare products. They all looked divine.

He stared back at the woman and gritted his teeth. Cassian never spoke much and gained favors. He had so much power but no one ever thought of joining hands with him because he always had the vibe of a beast. 

They could marvel at him but never approach him. The edges of his face looked soft now that he was standing with her.
