Mary stared at her with a raised brow. Her lips curved upwards but her eyes were cold as she stared at the woman. She was the one who took over all the wealth and fief of the duchy when her brother left for war.

She did not even care when he was going to die but seemed happy that the power would fall into her hands.

Though her voice was still calm, her words made Cassey flinch and her eyes filled with hatred.

She gritted her teeth and was about to chide Mary again. However, her maid came closer and whispered a few words in her ears that made Cassey halt abruptly.

She stared at Mary with shock filled in her eyes and then at the maid who nodded her head panicked.
