Basically, the Core Student status is the freest person in the academy.

You can essentially do whatever you want at your discretion.

"With this, I have more confidence in the auction," Maximus muttered, gazing intently at the 99.9 percent discount.

This seems to be similar to the discount for the official students and special students, but it's not.
