Bab 118: Smoke of pleasure (1)

Following the outcome of the previous battle, the French camp was filled with excitement and joy at the prospect of victory. They knew the city was on the verge of destruction and that they were on the brink of achieving their ultimate goal of conquering it and seizing control of its riches. The soldiers were already savoring the sweet taste of victory, and their joy spread throughout the camp. With spirits soaring and morale at an all-time high, the French forces were prepared and determined to triumph in the final showdown with the beleaguered defenders.
