Bab 291: Beware Drusilla III

"Are you finished?" Daphne asked innocently as she watched Drusilla drain the last of the whiskey without even a hint of suspicion. This proved to her that Drusilla was most likely unaware of the more minute properties of the aphrodisiac.

Which meant that she wasn't working alone. There had to be someone else who provided the aphrodisiac while Drusilla provided the opportunity.

"Yes, Sister, let us go now," Drusilla said with a smile as she looped her arm in Daphne's own, as though they were once again bosom sisters sharing secrets in the dark of night. 

Drusilla's body felt like it was warming quickly; clearly, the dance with the duke had tired her out more than she had expected. She was almost suspicious that she might have gotten the wrong glass― but no, a quick glance confirmed that it was her lip stain that decorated the rim of the glass.
