Skai shrugged, holding her position. "Well, big Skai is ready to take one and listen."

When Skai finally let Damien rest, he never knew it would be to his detriment. Had he known, he'd have switched positions and taken over.

His dick twitched but there was no response from his mate who smiled at his condition.

"You're…" Damien bit back his words and sat up. "Fine."

"I'm listening."

Damien took a deep breath. "Okay, well, the answer is quite simple really."

"I figured it out when I sensed you were my mate." Her brows knitted. "I tasted your blood." She swallowed.

That was a reveal she wasn't prepared for.
