Bab 79: Banter

CHAPTER 79

Skai's gaze settled on Jared. His guilty expression was proof that even after she said no, he disobeyed her and was coming to visit. 

'Men!' she thought, shaking her head inwardly. 

Turning her attention to Damien, the latter evaded her eyes quickly. 'Oh, another guilty one.' Skai shook her head.

Damien, on the other hand, lifted his hand to scratch the back of his head. 

How could he deliver this news to her, he thought? He promised her he'd be on his way once she slept but he didn't. 

'No.' Damien shook his head. He didn't promise but even at that, he ensured he left a couple of minutes after she slept. 

***Flashback***

For a while, Damien remained outside her apartment, watching over her from his car.

Once he felt Skai was alright, he decided to take his leave

However, in doing so, he saw a car drive past him at speed and headed straight for the parking lot in front of Skai's house.
