In an old unused tunnel, stood a young man. He was lean and just above average height and he donned a simple shirt and pants. He seemed to be searching for something and his dark eyes gazed deep into the tunnel as he tried to find whatever he searched.
That boy was Alden. He was here for his new dungeon mission. This mission had bigger prizes and he was eager to jump into the portal and slay whatever creatures the dungeon threw at him.
"There it is!" Alden exclaimed when he found the portal. He double-checked to see if he brought all the right equipment before stepping into the strange-looking structure before him. After stepping through, it took him a while to get used to the change in area but soon he found himself in the middle of a large field filled with ruins. Something that was extremely noticeable was that there were pieces of metal lying around at various places on the ground.
Alden stared above him to see a giant red sun. It didn't shine very brightly like the sun of Earth would but it seemed to be dying. Around him, from around the ruins, large humanoid monsters seemed to have a body molded out of metal stepped out. Each of them carried a large Double edged sword that suited their humungous frame.
[TANK DUNGEON ENTERED]
Alden ignored the notification and instead checked out the stats of the monster.
TANK (lv 3)
ATTACK: GOOD
DEFENCE: GOOD
MOVEMENT: GOOD
Alden whistled to himself, he had found quite the formidable opponent.
Alden had acquired points when he was fighting in the bull orc dungeon. Those points were for leveling up and since his level was raised by 1, he had gotten 5 points. He made sure to increase his strength and agility as he knew he could not just rely on his puppets. When he looked at his stats, he was satisfied:
LEVEL: 7
AGILITY: 22
STRENGTH: 22
DURABILITY: 18
ENERGY: 35
STAMINA: 18
His body felt stronger after increasing his physical stats and he was now confident in his physical capabilities. He knew he could now fight monsters with his bare fists and he was ready to do so. Alden prepared himself to fight the tanks that had begun charging at him. Their steel-like bodies reflected light and they roared viciously as they approached Alden.
There were 3 tanks in total, and all of them were massive beasts. The choice of name for the beast was not a surprise since not only were they very tall, but they seemed to be very well built. The first tank reached Alden and wasted no time in trying to slice him in half.
It swung its sword in a horizontal swing and Alden avoided the attack by ducking, he delivered a sweep kick after he ducked, and since the tank was off balance due to its previous heavy attack, Alden's right leg easily knocked it off its feet, and sent it crashing unto the ground.
The next tank came soon after and this one seemed more eager to cut Alden in half than the first. It swung its massive sword wildly trying to land an attack on Alden who easily evaded the attack. Alden was pretty quick on his feet after raising his agility stats. He was jumping around like a monkey as he avoided the attacks and he even seemed to be enjoying himself.
He finally attacked by throwing a punch to the body of the tank, the punch startled the tank and Alden used that second of freedom to place his right hand on the ground and use it as support to launch what seemed like a roundhouse kick. His kick sent the tank stumbling back, into the first tank which had just recovered. But in the time he took fighting the 2nd tank, the third one had caught up with him.
Alden summoned his dagger which had been a gift from his dad, it was the last thing his father had left him before he died. Alden's heart ached as he thought about his father, the way his father had been taken away from him so unfairly. He swore he would avenge his father and bring those who took a part in his father's death to justice.
Alden stepped to the side to avoid the attack of the tank's sword. He was almost thrown off balance by the impact the sword made after striking the ground. Alden kept his balance and stabbed at the tank with his sword, he felt his sword crack the metal but he had to jump back since the tank had wildly swung its arm at him.
Alden continued to fight like a madman, doing his utmost the try and kill the tanks. Progress came when Alden managed to stab through a tank's chest, a yellow light glowed from where he had stabbed and the tank suddenly lay still, Alden guessed he had managed to immobilize it.
"You're next," Alden said jumping into the air to avoid an attack, he held his dagger with two hands and stabbed right through the nape of the tank. The same yellow light as before shone and soon the tank lay still.
The final tank fell after Alden had landed many attacks on it resulting in a large number of cuts and cracks being found all over its body.
Alden sat down on the ground as he let out a tired sigh, that had taken him more work than expected. Alden raised his head and looked at the ruins which surrounded him. The sky was a red ominous color and the area around him seemed like it had once been a giant city. He knew that since he could see the designs of the ruined buildings.
It was an interesting piece of land.
