Bab 151: Counterplan

Just as Agda had said, the Valkyries had indeed come to their bases in force. Even One, who was known for always obeying Embla, was there with the rest of his friends. They waited until Damian and Heidi arrived before One, as their leader, came forward to speak to them.

"What do you want?"

Perhaps because Damian still felt a little disappointed over the Valkyries' decision to let Sofia die a few months ago, his tone did not sound too friendly when he spoke. But One calmly ignored the hostile tone. His eyes looked straight at Damian as he answered his question very straightforwardly.

"Please allow us to be part of this alliance."

Damian's forehead furrowed when he heard One's answer. "Is this part of Miss Embla's orders?" he asked sarcastically. His hostility returned when he heard One's words. Of all the reasons Damian could think of, he did not expect the Valkyries to come up with such a request.
