I took a step back from him as a frown marred my features.

Regardless, if you so badly need to know what I discussed with your mother, you can ask her." I took up my comic once more, turned my back to him and continued to read it, while he stood in front of me, looking like he was ready to hit me on the head.

It was how we stayed until I closed my comic, and went to the bathroom to ease myself before I plopped down on the bed with a yawn. He was still in the position he was in when I went to the bathroom, staring hard at my chair.

"Good night!"

I couldn't tell when he joined me in the bed, but I woke to his arms wrapped around my body. With a smile, I burrowed into his embrace, inhaling his sweet orange scent.
