Bab 140: Journey Continues! (3)

A reason to swing his sword? If this question was asked in his past life, he would have answered without any hesitation: to survive. Survival had been his sole motivation, and his sword had been the embodiment of his sheer will to live. 

Every movement, every swing, his sword was filled with the intent to survive, to live.

But now, in this new life, things have changed. Survival was still important, but it was no longer the only reason he swung his sword. There were many motives behind his actions: to protect his family, to prevent the disastrous future he had glimpsed, to save his master, to become stronger, and countless other reasons.

In this new life, his motivations had evolved and diversified. Somewhere along the way, and he had lost sight of what his sword truly represented.
