The Knight frowned, glancing at the other knights not far away.

"We shall see to it that the will of the Emperor will be followed," the Knight said, his gaze steady as he met the Reverend's eyes.

"Are you willing to hurt these people just to get us to leave?" the Reverend asked.

"We shall see to it that the will of the Emperor will be followed."

Almost immediately, the people behind the Reverend started shouting profanities. Some began crying, others started begging. Seeing this chaos, Eve sighed inwardly.

It turns out the reason people were inside was because of the church. She sighed inwardly. The church is not on good terms with the sorcerers. In fact, during the war, Emperor Ronald always asked Evelynn to stay out of the church's sight to avoid chaos.

Religion and mysticism were separate entities. Many believers in their One God thought Sorcerers were evil entities supporting the devil.
