Bab 249: Flowers

Eve pursed her lips, her thoughts drifting back to Ronald and the haunting image of his face as he thrust a dagger into her body. The memory lingered before she thought about Ronald's Queen. Evelynn was the reason why Ronald married her Empress so the topic reminded her of a few memories that the three of them shared.

As the evening progressed, the party eventually came to an end. Eve was not entirely surprised when she received an invitation from the Queen to join her in the garden.

"Your Majesty, this place is truly exquisite," Eve exclaimed, her exterior radiating warmth as she gazed at the lush surroundings. She had never expected the Queen to invite her to this place without guards or maids.

Surely, she was not planning to kill her, right?

"What are your impressions of the flowers, Your Highness?" Anya inquired, plucking a pristine white rose.
