Bab 237: The Capital

After Max sorted out the grand 'dowry,' Eve decided to stay while exchanging banter with Henrik. She had never met someone as entertaining as this man. Even in her past life as Evelynn Rosetta, none of her 'friends' treated her this way. It was refreshing and highly entertaining.

"What were you planning this time?" Henrik asked her. "Do not tell me you would really let your sister marry into another estate."

"I do not understand what you are talking about," she smiled and started brewing her own tea. Since she was the only human in the room, she was in charge of what the tea tasted like.

In the past, these two men seemed to drink tea out of habit. They could not really tell if the tea was bad. Either that or they simply no longer cared.
