Any healer or sorcerer or even Alchemist would be able to recognize that Maximilian is weaker than others because of his lack of sustenance. However, the information that Casimir brought him was different.

Cristobal the Hunchback has a reputation not just for his hatred for vampires but for his ability to use tricks, using magic to defeat any vampires easily.

Even high-ranking nobles would have a hard time dealing with him, especially when they were caught in his trap.

How could someone like Eve know how to steal from him?
