Bab 29: Bruised

"Ugh—" Eve felt something break in her body as Marius sent her sprawling to the ground with a single kick. She struggled to get up.

She glared at Marius. Earlier, the man used his speed, catching her off guard and leaving her with no chance to defend herself.

When was the last time that Eve had to physically fight someone whose speed was so insane that she couldn't even see them coming?

The simple answer was never.

When she was still Evelynn Rosetta, Lucius refused to even spar against her as he knew he would lose!

Now, here she is.

Her body throbbed with pain as if it was being sliced up slowly. Even taking a breath was excruciating.

"Get up—" Marius uttered, his voice low, his face was still devoid of any expression. "Try to sense me. Pick up the dagger and use your instincts."

Instincts?

Eve snorted.
