Bab 41: Innocent Brian

Another blow landed across Leon's face and Eva, out of annoyance, walked in front of him, pushing him away from throwing another attack on Leon. "What the hell are you doing, Brian?"

Brian's gaze did wither from Leon whose face now was apparent of pain. His lips were draped in blood and the left side of his face had swollen.

Eva couldn't look at him, afraid she would even feel more guilty for dragging him into this mess.

Just realising that the woman in front of him was actually very close to him and holding him by his arms, Brian stopped fuming and released one of his arms to touch her face, "Honey, how hurt are you?"

"Brian!" Eva warned, smacking his palm off her face, "Why your sudden irritation? What could Mr Chan have possibly done to infuriate you?"

Hearing her question, Brian redirected his gaze from Eva to Leon and then uttered, "I told that bastard to ensure nothing happens to you!" He looked at her arm, "And see what happens just when I am away for a few minutes!"
