Bab 50: chapter 50: New Chief announced.*

Everybody's attention was on Zuri and his group. While those who knew what was going on fixed their attention on the specially dressed Zuri, those who did not know looked on in uncertainty and wonder. Whether or not they knew of the coming events, they all focused on the four new arrivals.

Naturally, Zuri was very troubled by this, as he had never been one for crowds, even in a previous incarnation. It was unsettling to feel so many eyes suddenly focused on him. Regardless of his discomfort, he went on behind Myuri.

Not too far from the burning flame was an earth pedestal. Something Zuri had not seen before, so he assumed that it was made through one of the tribeswomen's gifts. Myuri climbed onto this pedestal and addressed the crowd.
