There were many cases where reckless or unorthodox methods were used by others for the sake of their self-interests.

What Sofia was witnessing was just another example of that and she was more accepting of it since she learned about it earlier.

Unfortunately for her, Sloane would not yet know about such things so she regretted not informing him earlier.
