Bab 60: Deception

"Where did you travel for business that you had to keep it a secret from me?" Duke Henry asked with a forced gentle tone, though he actually wanted to yell at Liana. 

Liana swallowed her saliva. She was so scared that no sound came out of her throat even though her mouth was open.

"...."

"Why don't you just answer my question honestly?" her grandfather asked impatiently. 

He reached out, his fingers closing around the teleportation card that rested in Liana's hand. With a swift motion, he snatched it away, his grip tightening as he brought it closer to his face. 

His eyes, filled with curiosity and anticipation, scanned the writing on the card. As his gaze settled on the destination, a look of surprise and astonishment swept across his face. His eyes widened, revealing a mixture of awe and disbelief at what he had just discovered.

"Broughton? You've come from Broughton using a teleportation card?" the Duke asked in disbelief.
