The pilot glanced at his sidekick with worry and then looked at Chuck, looking really serious. "Please, stop making me look bad. I can get you in legal trouble for this."
"Hush." Chuck put a finger on his lips. "Just keep your mind on a smooth landing. No worries then."
"But if things go south," Chuck moved his hand across his throat, "your family's involved."
Chuck looked tough and had piercing eyes, his hair cut neatly. It was clear he wasn't someone to mess around with. The pilot went quiet, focusing on his controls, scared that any mistake could risk his family.
His co-pilot, sitting next to him, eyed Chuck suspiciously, wondering about him.
Chuck looked at him. "You, leave."
The co-pilot looked uneasy. "I can't leave the cockpit during the flight. It's against the rules. I could get into trouble."
Chuck got louder. "Go."
Having no choice, the co-pilot reluctantly left the cockpit.
