Maya's heart beat faster as nothing but silence answered her confession.
"Nate?" she asked, her voice shaking as she tried to turn to face him.
She was scared, but she needed to face this truth, she needed to tell him that Gabriel was his. She knew he would be mad, but he deserved to know that the bond he shared with Gabriel was a real one.
Maya could only hope that Nate would let Gabriel take on his family name and continue to love him as he already did.
