Bab 65: The Secret I've Kept

Maya returned to the office with a smile on her lips but a bad feeling in the pit of her stomach. 

"You're back!" Celia greeted as soon as she saw Maya walking back to her desk. 

"I am," she said in a grim tone, making Celia worry.

"Did you mess up the meeting?" she asked, worried that Maya would be scolded.

"What?" Maya asked, not having heard the question.

She was too lost in her own thoughts to pay attention to what was happening around her.

"Did you mess up the meeting with DLR Enterprises?" Celia asked her friend again.

"No, I actually have the signed contract with me here," Maya said, smiling as she tapped her bag. 

She made sure that she wouldn't lose it or get it dirty. She had been very careful with handling it from the moment Nate had signed the document.

"Can I see?" Celia asked, curious about the terms Maya had managed to negotiate so easily.
