Bab 34: Just My Ex!

Nathaniel was stunned by the news Clark had told him. 

He paced with his phone pressed against his ear as he thought of what to do next.

While he was certain that what Clark had told him was true, he knew that there were invisible stings at play. Maya might benefit from her uncle and cousin's fall, but what other repercussions would there be? 

"Sir, do you want us to make a move?" Clark asked over the phone when he realized his boss had remained silent for too long.

"No, not yet," Nathaniel said as he finally decided. "I'll talk to her first, see why she's so desperate to speak to me to fix things."

"There isn't even any proof or paper trail leading to you, sir. Her cousin is paranoid you can even sue him for defamation if you wanted." Clark advised.

Nathaniel sighed and shook his head.

His people were painfully loyal, they needed to realize that when it came to Maya things were not as simple.
