Bab 12: Admirals are REALLY scary.
"Bwahahahaha! I don't know what you mean!" Garp laughed.
The two boys peek their heads downstairs and saw Sengoku in the living room with veins popping on his forehead.
"This is your fault! Two marine bases are destroyed!"
Garp laughed. "Bwahahaha! No one died! It's fine!"
Sengoku started shaking. "IT'S NOT FINE! DO YOU KNOW HOW EXPENSIVE A MARINE BASE IS???"
Garp looked up and scratched his beard. "At least $100,000 belli."
"NOT EVEN CLOSE!"
Garp just laughed in response.
Alex and Shanks looked at each other and smiled. "They didn't even need to kill them." Alex said.
"How weak are the marines?" Shanks asked with a laugh.
Sengoku's head shot in their direction. "This is because of you two!"
Shanks gasped. "And him!" He said as he pointed at Buggy who was still sitting on the couch in fear.
Sengoku looked down. "You brought another one?!"
Garp laughed again and Sengoku seethed.
Alex and Shanks pointed at Sengoku and started laughing together.
Sengoku's anger reached its peak and he started running at the two.
Their faces quickly turned from a jovial look to one of terror as they sprinted away.
The two nearly fell over their own feet as they reached the window. Alex opened it and Shanks jumped out the window first. Alex looked behind him as he was standing on the windowsill and saw Dragon blocking Sengoku's path for them.
Dragon looked back. "Run, kid."
Alex smiled and tilted his body backwards, falling out the window and landing on his feet.
Sengoku smacked Dragon out of the way and turned back to Buggy. "Don't think I forgot about you, brat, you're next."
Buggy started crying. "What did I do???"
Garp watched and laughed heartily at the entire spectacle.
Currently, Alex and Shanks were outside, running along the rooftops. They saw a golden hand in the sky block out the sun and they panicked. They quickly jumped into another building through a window and started running through the house. A man was sleeping on the couch with a blindfold on and an afro.
Alex and Shanks both bowed and apologized to the sleeping man before running out a window on the other side of the house and down an alley.
A golden hand smashed into the house and obliterated it. The sleeping man was smashed into a pile of ice before reforming. He lifted his blindfold and looked around. "Did I fall asleep outside again?"
He shrugged and put the blindfold back down before going back to bed.
Alex and Shanks looked back at the destruction while laughing. "Do YoU kNoW hOw MuCh ThAt CoSt'S???" Alex called out mockingly.
Shanks burst into a fit of giggles while the two ran into another house through the front door. There was a party going on with balloons everywhere and a cradle in the middle of the room.
"Congrats! You're gonna be great parents! What's their name?" Alex called out as the ran though.
"Drake." The mother replied.
Shanks smiled. "That's a nice name! He'll be a great marine!"
The parents smiled and thanked the two kids as they ran up the stairs and jumped out a window, onto the roof of the next building.
They continued to run along the tops of buildings with the occasional one being smashed. Eventually Shanks and Alex got split up and they ran in different directions.
Sengoku continued to follow Shanks and Alex laughed at him as he watched his friend fighting for his life.
While Alex was busy watching Shanks jump and roll to evade the deadly attacks he accidentally bumped into a little girl.
She looked like she was around 11-12 years old and she looked down at the ground with disappointment.
Alex panicked. "Sorry! I'll get you another one!"
The girl looked back up at him and threw the cone in his face. It poked one of his eyes and he took a step back in pain.
"Hmph. Hina doesn't need your help." She huffed before walking away.
Alex was baffled, he was just trying to be a nice guy! What did he do wrong?
Alex was so startled he failed to see Shanks running in his direction. Shanks smacked him in the back. "Tag! You're it!" He said as he ran into an alleyway, out of Sengoku's sight.
Sengoku roared. "There you are! Brat!"
Alex gulped and started to run away again while Shanks watched him and laughed this time. Alex ran towards a three story tall building before jumping. The heels of his boots launched out and revealed springs that boosted his jump and he safely landed on the roof.
Alex turned around and stuck out his tongue at Sengoku. "Blegh!"
A golden hand appeared from Sengoku and slapped the ground, boosting him up and to the roof.
Alex fell on his butt and started to stumble backwards. He quickly turned around and started running on all fours before finally making it to his feet. He jumped off of the roof a moment before Sengoku could reach him and ice appeared on the soles of his boots allowing him to slide down the curved roof on his feet.
Alex hopped to the next roof and continued gliding along before jumping on a railing. He grinded down the railing and reached the ground. He started skating along the ground with the help of his boots as Sengoku started chasing him once more.
Alex skated into an alley and saw a popup store with costumes in it. He grabbed one and tossed a wad of cash at the owner before skating away.
He jumped into another random alley before quickly throwing on his costume. A few seconds after he finished throwing on the wig, Sengoku came barreling down the alley.
He looked down and saw a kind in an orange jumpsuit with yellow hair and whiskers. The kid looked up at him and smiled. "Believe it!"
"Did you see a brat run around? Around your height with white hair and creepy red eyes."
Alex nodded his head and pointed in a certain direction. "Believe it!"
Sengoku nodded and ran off in that direction.
Alex waited for him to leave before laughing and taking off his disguise. He walked through the streets that looked as if they had been ravaged by vicious pirates. Buildings were crumbling and piles of rubble built up all over the place.
Alex sighed. "Admirals are really scary."
Shanks jumped off a roof and landed on his shoulders. "Right? Also, nice costume you got. Lucky bastard."
Alex and Shanks laughed as they walked home together.
