Unaware the royal family was discussing her topics, Lireesa was on the opposite spectrum. Her chef's trial had exhilarated her and their ingenious tricks to replace unavailable materials really blew her mind. She imagined the elves cooked by burning either coal or wood. There was an oven, but not necessarily one, because it was just a rock with an array imprinted on it. The array heated up and cooked the pot. The energy was supplied by Sunwell. Lireesa now deeply realized every necessity of the elves was supported by Sunwell. Should it explode like in her game in previous life, elves needed time to adjust and struggle.
In addition to the magic addition, this was the major flaw for the elven civilization to be dependent solely on one type of energy. Lireesa even considered having her own arcane magister team to research a new alternative on Azeroth and decided to record it in her notes. As soon as the troll's problem and the armaments of the Windrunner guards were solved, this should be her pursuit following the short peace. The first experimented meal was beef steak. Naturally, elves had eaten steak but here lay a difference. The heat treatment was rough in their way of cooking, and now with her advice her chefs applied different methods of heating and produced sensory steak compared to tedious common cooking.
Now they cooked 4 sets with each different style: rare, medium rare, medium well, and well. Lireesa didn't know what the various style appealed to many foodies, but she always ate well-cooked steak healthy and chewable. She tried others but it revolted her taste and never attempted again. In contrast to Lireesa, these chefs were amazed by these styles and favored medium rare like others in her previous life. All of the audience like maids and guards around, came and tasted. They agreed with the chefs' opinions. Now almost all of them chose medium rare and rare as their favorites while the rest pointed to medium well. None of them fancied Lireesa's choice and itched Lireesa to ask the reasons for their preferences.
Their reply bewildered Lireesa as they couldn't mention any reasons to support their choice. It was more like personal taste. Her subordinates were also baffled, their lady liked the dull well-cooked steak and their eyes irritated Lireesa to burst in anger as if having outstanding taste alone from the crowd was a freak. Noticing their little lord fuming in anger amused them, but in order not to suffer in the future, they put away their expression and returned back to normal. Lireesa complained their face changes were all learnt. If placed in her previous world, they were qualified to become politicians.
She asked them to give their reviews on the possibility of opening a large restaurant and received their nods. Solely with this new kind of steak would attract many customers. Lireesa sent papers written by her to the chefs which explained various potato dishes. Everyone in Azeroth ate mashed potatoes which were regarded by many as basic necessary food but not enjoyment. Lireesa showed them ingenious methods for variations of potato meals, and it was an eye-opener. The chef discovered it was only the first page and contained numerous information. They couldn't bear to fathom the remaining dishes features and everyone was craving for the cooks to finish so that they could have a taste.
Lireesa's eye shone with a sense of revenge and scared her subordinates around, fearful of the plots their lady was planning ahead. A light bulb brightened in her head and suited how she was going to teach her subordinates while fitting into the plan she had in mind. She teased, "You know our noble house is facing financial difficulties. So, I'm finding a way to reduce our load and it appeared you girls annoy me. The consequences are very dire. I'm reducing your wages for this month and investing that money in the restaurant. How's it a good idea?"
All of them shook their head in dismay wondering if their lady was serious. Even though they were able to eat free food in the manor and resided without cost, it was always good to be able to earn extra money. Only a fool would nod her head in agreement. They heard Lireesa blurt out displeased. "No, you had to accept punishment to please my anger, and display my majesty isn't something to joke about."
Her subordinates twitched their lips from several protests they craved to utter but had to control. Lady Lireesa's rumors of harassing her own subordinates had spread around the entire manor. Everyone knew but avoided talking in front of Lireesa and rarely gossiped because they were well aware of the hearing abilities of quasi-legend. When Ella understood the whole situation, her mind went blank, and she didn't have a good option except to warn the subordinates not to propagate the gossip around. She also announced the punishment if dissemination occurred. Everyone might have some apprehension about their lord Lireesa, but in front of Lady Ella only trepidation existed.
"Nope, then let's change to another method. More labor. I'll add your working time to compensate for my mental damage." Lireesa bulged her chest and put her hands around her waist. Everyone remained quiet and discovered the real purpose of Lireesa. They waited for what Lireesa intended them to do.
"Alright, you don't wanna do this or that. The last chance otherwise you're at your own risk. It's non-negotiable." Lireesa eyes turned cold and gawked at every one of them. Everyone was aware this was it. The moment had come. "Since you all refused to agree to the earlier punishment, all the Windrunner will be punished alongside you. Guards are exceptions for some time. Unless you finished the punishment I gave you, no one can eat the food these chefs cooked."
Everyone in front of Lireesa whined and cried out injustice in their heart. It appeared punishment was fine for them, but seeing the food and not being able to eat made them suffer. Elves were known for their passionate indulgence and Windrunners weren't immune. Previously, they wouldn't care much about the food but after savoring these delicious tastes, they were all addicted. Out of all three options, this one seemed to be a nightmare. The commotions calmed down when their Lady Lireesa never relented their begging, and they quietened down in the wait for the upcoming trial.
"I want everyone inside this manor to have training in some sort of combat and this is a requirement to be Windrunner. Yes, maids are included as well. No one can escape from training tomorrow." Lireesa treaded around and announced the sentence. "I'll personally train you, girls, even if you aren't talented in archery or magic. Make no mistake, escaping from training is disallowed here. I'll kick away those who escape, out of Windrunner house. Remember it is you who denied previous punishment and this is the result. Now spread my instruction around. I want to see the entire Windrunner, except for the guards currently, in the training courtyard by tomorrow morning."
Soon numerous whispers rang in her ears, stunning Lireesa where her mind couldn't handle gibberish beside her ears and there were too many to discern the messages. It took a while to block the sound out of her ears. She heard some were very upset and felt the sky was grey, while others complained bitterly behind her back as someone who abused authority just to touch girls. Her eyelids twitched from these girls' behavior and swore everything would be paid back tomorrow.
Which one spread her rumors. No wonder these girls always gave inexplicable glances, Lireesa thought.
Time passed so quickly. The sunset and the moon rose. Lireesa continued her day with her daughters, as usual, tricking and teasing them. Laughter erupted inside the house alongside the maids and her servants. Current happiness was in contrast to the dull worried atmosphere before. All Windrunners were relieved to see her lady's family back in their former state. The next morning, Lireesa woke up and found out her two older daughters were already gone. They must have exercised early in the morning as Sylvanas promised her and Lireesa encouraged their persistence, hoping her daughters would continue onward, becoming a second nature for the rest of their life. Discipline was the key component to determining a person's success or failure. Discipline revolved around destiny. Although her daughters were the protagonists of their era, Lireesa still wished them to prepare better for the future from now on.
After cleaning herself and waking up Lina to play around as usual, Lireesa arrived at the training courtyard; except for guards and some maids who were still on duty, most of the Windrunner's members were waiting for her. She began her speech with what knowledge she was delivering and her future dream where every Windrunner was a warrior. She displayed her longsword drills starting from the basics and asked them to follow her movements. There were numerous wooden swords ordered by Lireesa a few days ago when she wrote down this plan. Dissatisfied groans and weak cries reverberated across the training ground. Despite being unwilling, all of them persevered as the only road to eat delicious meals was to pass over this hurdle.
They were taught similarly to the veteran's training days ago where punishment was to be entangled by their lady. Everyone's nostrils almost flared from such a penalty and wondered if the tragedy nearly 2 weeks ago was too harsh on Lireesa resulting in a change of her interest. No one refuted Lireesa's deed. It appeared shame was the best motivation for these girls to increase their competence rapidly. At the same time, they were ashamed, they also rolled their eyes at their lord in front and expressed their reluctance. Yet they were able to accept her harassment as the acts were never too much except to treat them as if the child made a mistake and was beaten lightly with love by their mother, mistakenly letting the rest believe Lireesa regarded everyone in the Windrunner house as her child and she desired the best out of them, even if they couldn't compare to the real daughters.
Should Lireesa perceive their inner monologues, her mouth would quiver from controlling her laugh, as she grumbled their additional brain supplements. After the training finished, everyone collapsed and Lireesa guaranteed a delicious meal similar to the one yesterday, raising their motivation to train themselves. Lireesa was satisfied with today's events, not to mention she was able to touch varieties of beauties—different physiques, and complex curves. Her eyes glistened with luster and every step danced in the air as if today's contentment had allowed herself to soar into the sky. Today's early morning training soothed both her emotional and physical aspects, sending her decadence away due to Sena's departure. She found herself extremely lonely after Sena was gone because the cutie always pranked around and brought smiles to everyone. Lireesa returned to her house to rest a while and encountered Ella who folded her arms and appeared to be waiting for her.
Lireesa's previous delighted appearance immediately changed and wilted in front of Sena, who then clicked her tongue and didn't mention her behaviors. Ella dragged her into the office room and forced her to transcribe the recipes she knew. Bitterness was never sweet, but it had its own taste worth to be fancied. A complaint was meaningless in front of the preacher Ella. Lireesa must work in order to increase their wealth and implement vital plans to guard the safety of their futures. Ella as the steward of the entire manor was in control of everything when the lord didn't complete their job and was grateful Lireesa found the opportunity to make money. How could Ella tolerate this chance to fly away because of Lireesa's laziness. Since then, Lireesa spent her time at the desk concentrating on paperwork, while she also strategized her move when their group visited Silvermoon City.
Well feeling not well at the moment.
I thought the past days something is wrong!
