Within this makeshift sanctuary, tension hung heavily in the air as two men and a woman held their collective breath, each clutching makeshift weapons.

The woman, with a determined visage that belied her age, appeared to be in her mid-thirties. She defied the chaos of their surroundings by wearing a long, inky-black gown, a peculiar choice given the dire circumstances. 

Yet, upon closer inspection, it became evident that this gown had been meticulously designed for survival.
