"Where is he?" Teng Ma's voice cut through the tension, his eyes narrowing as he surveyed his subordinates.

"Sorry, boss," one of his underlings replied, his voice tinged with frustration. "We lost track of him. He knew we were trailing him and purposely led us into a maze."

Staying in the same room, the atmosphere shifted. Teng Ma took his seat upon the elaborate throne, a symbol of his authority. His subordinates half-knelt before him, reporting every move in hushed tones.

"I see. No worries. I already expected that," Teng Ma said, his expression betraying no surprise. 

He waved his hand dismissively, signaling his subordinates to rise from their half-kneeling positions. His gaze then shifted to the figure standing on his right, a person who held his trust implicitly.

"Now, would you be kind enough to enlighten me about his background, reputation, and all the details about him, Sister Xiue?"
