As Jin, Zhao Ling, and the Xiao family members discussed their plans for the upcoming day, back on the lower ground just before the ascending stairs that led to the temple, the aftermath of Jin's bloodshed took place.

The bodies of humans lay decayed, completely drained of blood, leaving them dried and lifeless after being sucked dry by the Vampiric Monkey. Suddenly, under the eerie light of the moon, an unsettling transformation began to unfold.

The once-dead eyes of these corpses suddenly snapped open, revealing a ghastly metamorphosis. Their irises darkened like ink, surrounded by an otherworldly white glow, as if the moon itself was lending its radiance to the gruesome spectacle.

Their once-human skins turned pale-white like mummies, now skeletal and gaunt. As the transformation took hold, a guttural growl echoed from their gaping mouths, exposing newly formed, sharp fangs.
