'What's happening?!'

The urgent situation made my heart pound loudly in my chest. But before I could even think of how to respond to this sudden change, the creepy feeling disappeared into thin air.

'Huh?'

It was like a winter breeze melting into the summer heat, and I might have dismissed it as a hallucination if not for my bloodshot eyes and my forehead covered with cold sweat, especially when Rachael had just wiped it dry.

"Master! What happened?!"

From the corner of my eye, I saw Charlotte suddenly rush to my side. She touched my forehead, her brows furrowed, and concern was apparent in her voice.

"Is everything all right? Are you not feeling well?"

Her warm touch helped me restore my sense of stability, and I regained my composure.

Observing her reaction and her apparent lack of awareness of whatever bizarre transpired moments ago, I concluded that the source of that eerie feeling was unlikely to be external.
