"If you don't have the stomach for it, I can do it for you." The old madam added, "See how sharp my nails are, I can come away with a good chunk of skin if I decide to pinch someone."

The old madam was showing her short but sharp well filed red nails off as if they were weapons.

"Grandma, do you pinch Mei-Mei's nails with such nails?" Muyang asked.

"I am well trained in how to use these weapons of mass destruction, don't worry. But if it will make you feel better I will have them trimmed at the nail salon tomorrow." The old madam explained as she brushed him off.

"I like my wife's nails, she is not trimming them." The old master said unhappily. "Anyway, just do what your grandmother has said and invite that family here. We will deal with them personally in a controlled environment."

The issue of the nails was temporarily abandoned and the old master's suggestion was brought to the forefront.
